About Me

Family history research is my passion. I love to find my own ancestors and I love to help others find their ancestors. I enjoy sitting beside someone at a computer while they learn the tools to find their ancestors. It is even more fulfilling and exciting when they find new information or a certificate that they didn’t have before. Their excitement and joy is truly rewarding. My maiden name is O’Neill and my paternal grandparents were Irish immigrants to the United States in the early years of the 20th century. My maternal ancestors were primarily English and German who chose opposing sides during the US Revolutionary War!   I also write a genealogy posts on LDS Blogs http://ldsblogs.com/

  1. Hello. This is my first visit to your blog. I came via Geneabloggers. Just had to visit when I saw you are in Naperville. Our daughter lives there & we have visited several times. We will be there in a few days for Thanksgiving! Might have to stop by the FH Center on one of these visits, just to say hello. Your blog is very attractive & full of great information.

Your paternal grandparents and my maternal grandparents were possibly contemporaries. My grandparents were from North Longford Ireland, emigrated and lived in North Manhattan until moving on to Coalinga CA prior to 1917. My great uncle apparently founded a creamery there in 1917 which ended up being owned by O’Neills.
